Practice Location Enrollment Update for Participating Practitioners

WellCare of Kentucky (WellCare) is sharing an important update to our provider datamanagement policy regarding practice location listings.

WellCare will now support up to five (5) practice locations per practitioner, effective 03/07/2026, which will help ensure accurate and efficient data management and enhance the member experience in our Find a Provider tool.

Because some practitioners may operate across a broader geographic area, WellCare will consider exceptions based on the unique needs of individual provider groups and the structure of their business operations. Exceptions will requir/e the following criteria.

• The practitioner provides care at each location on a consistent and documented schedule.
• All locations are actively accepting patients.
• The practitioner is contracted and credentialed at each listed site.

If your practice meets these criteria and you wish to request an exception, please submit a written request to your Provider Relations representative, including documentation that supports your need for additional locations.
